Orara High School performs at International Fireworks Festival

Recently, four of our students went to Vietnam as Australian representatives for the International Fireworks Festival in Da Nang.

Malakai, Mitch, Shaylara and Thomas, along with dancers Ella and Codi, performed in front of 30,000 people and their performance was broadcast live across Vietnam’s television channel VTV. Friday night saw the dancers performing at a street parade around the city of Da Nang where they stopped and gave two performances.

They performed a traditional dance on Saturday night as the Australian contingent for the Australian fireworks team. Sunday’s performance was held at Asia Park, Da Nang, which involved a 45 minute performance. Orara High School would like to say a massive thank you to Kristan Benton of Yidaki Vibes and Aunty Gloria Mercy for their tireless work preparing these students to perform on the world stage. What an awesome experience for these students to be a part of. Congratulations!
